If your real estate market is anything like mine, you can't swing a dead cat without taking out 9 real estate agents standing around doing nothing or doing the same thing that every other agent is doing (or pretending to do!).
Over the years, I have had some "interesting" marketing ideas pop into my head only to have them shot down by brokers, other agents or mentors.
I've been accused of being too blunt, politically incorrect, insensitive. Blah blah blah!
Often my ideas don't FIT WITH THE SCRIPTS that the real estate "gurus" say that we should be using. Sticking with the proven scripts...the tried and true...just doesn't fit my personality.
And I'm not ashamed to admit the reality is that I haven't been as successful as I would like to be by using them.
For 2016, I'm going OFF SCRIPT.
I'm no longer going to worry about comparing myself with other agents. I'm no longer going to try to emulate their marketing style.
I'm going to be bold.
I'm going to be honest.
I'm going to be ME!
Love me or hate me. It makes no difference.
The only thing I'm really good at is being myself.
As the new year goes on, I will be testing my own ideas in my market. I will share what works and what doesn't here in the Rain.
